Since being elected to the House of Commons in October 2015, MP Bob Bratina has been hard at work defending the interests of Hamilton in Ottawa:

  • Re-founded and Co-Chairs the All Party Parliamentary Steel Caucus
  • Re-founded the Canada-Croatia Parliamentary Friendship Group
  • Member of the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs & the Standing Committee on the Status of Women
  • Former Member of the Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics Committee
  • Advocating for Federal Infrastructure funding in Hamilton
  • Strong advocate for the ongoing situation at Stelco with various ministries, departments and stakeholders.
  • Vice-Chair for the Canada-Serbia Parliamentary Friendship Group
  • Unanimously passed a Private Members Motion looking to find new ways where the Federal Government can assist in dealing with lead toxicity across Canada.
  • Leading efforts to build bi-lateral relations with the United States Congressional Steel Caucus
  • Launched one of the first Constituency Youth Councils across the country, who raised over 6000lbs of food for Hamilton Food Share.
