Seniors’ concerns are being heard.

Our government is taking action to improve the affordability of, and access to, prescription drugs, which will be beneficial for seniors and all Canadians.

Our government is taking steps to modernize the way patented drug prices are regulated in Canada by amending the Patented Medicines Regulations. This modernization work – the first of its kind in over 20 years – will help protect Canadians from excessive drug prices.

Through Budget 2017 we’re investing over $140M over five years to help improve access to pharmaceuticals and to support innovations within the health care system.

There are so many great Hamilton East – Stoney Creek residents who generously volunteer their time to make this one of the best places in the world to live. Earlier this week, I was pleased to be able to present a Sesquicentennial Pin, made from original copper from the roof of Parliament Buildings, to Corrina Centritto, who just graduated from Cardinal Newman School. It is wonderful to see youth like Corrina show dedication, energy and interest in enriching our community.
