I hope you’ve had a restful and productive week. It’s a big week for our city’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats who defeated the Edmonton Eskimos on Sunday to advance to this year’s Grey Cup final against Winnipeg.
In less than two weeks, Parliament will be returning to session. Before I go back to Ottawa, I would like to know what issues are on the top of your mind.
What should the government’s top priority be during the upcoming session of Parliament?
A. Environment and Climate Change
B. Creating Jobs and Growing the Economy
C. Supporting Seniors
D. Supporting Families
E. Foreign Relations
F. National Unity
H. Lowering Cell Phone and Internet Bills
The above issues are just a few items that we will be working hard to address
during this upcoming session of Parliament. If there are any other concerns
that you would like to bring to my attention, please don’t hesitate to reach
out to me.
One Week Left to Apply for My Constituency Youth Council
Applications are open for my 2019-2020 Constituency Youth Council! If you’re a resident of Hamilton East – Stoney Creek between the ages of 15 and 24, you are welcome to apply.
The Hamilton East – Stoney Creek Constituency Youth Council is an opportunity to have your voice heard on policy and issues facing Canada. Meetings will be held every 1 – 2 months with an additional time commitment required for the community project.
If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to email@example.com.
You can find the application link by clicking here.
In previous years, my Constituency Youth Council has played an important role advising me on the issues that matter most to young Canadians, all while helping organize important community projects such as a food drive.
Check out the CP Holiday Train
The CP Holiday Train will be back at Gage Park next Thursday, November 28. The train is set to arrive on the south side of Gage Park at 7:45 p.m. This year’s performers include Alan Doyle, formerly of the band Great Big Sea.
Don’t forget that the Hamilton Food Share will be collecting both non-perishable food items and cash donations.
For more information, you can consult the City of Hamilton’s website by clicking here.
I had a great time watching the CP Holiday Train roll into Gage Park last year with my wife Carol.
Enjoy the weekend and Go Cats Go!
